BYSA is committed to build the skills and capacity of young people to be active citizens in the community. The BYSA Volunteer Program supports young people to design and deliver their own activities within the community. The activities can range from one-off workshops to large scale music events. Young people will be provided with a small budget and guidance from Youth Workers to ensure the events are safe and successful.
BYSA accepts young people into the volunteer program all year round. A special volunteer program is also delivered each April during Youth Week. This program supports young people to deliver The Burbs Festival, Blacktown’s largest Youth Week event.
