BYSA believes that young people are the experts in their own lives and must be given relevant and meaningful opportunities to decision making processes that affect them. The Unusual Suspects is the leadership group that makes decisions on the projects BYSA deliver. A group of young people with lived experiences are supported and resourced to identify, design and deliver their own activities within the community. The activities can range from one-off workshops to large scale music events. Young people are provided access to the required resources to ensure the events are safe and successful.
Young people are accepted into the group all year round. A specific volunteer program is also delivered each April during Youth Week.
